Baseball is a popular bat and ball game played between two teams, each having a set on nine players. The main aim of baseball is to hit a ball thrown to the batter, and then touching all the four bases, which are positioned at corners of a ninety-foot square area. The batting team takes turns in hitting the balls and touching bases, while the pitcher of the fielding team tries to stop the batters from scoring and can get a batter out in several ways.

The batters can stop at any of the bases and then run when the other fellow batter hits. However, if the fielding team can make three outs, then the teams interchange roles. An innings is only over when both teams have had a chance of batting and fielding. The professional games consist of nine such innings, and the team with most number of runs at the end of the nine innings wins the match.
