Philosophy is the general study of fundamental problems that are concerned with deep matters like existence, truth, knowledge, law, justice, mind and many more. It is different from any other study as it has a general approach of addressing questions and finding out answers. The study is heavily dependent on reasoned arguments and comes from a word of Greek origin, meaning “love of wisdom”.

The subject of philosophy can be classified into different branches with different significances. While metaphysics deals with the investigation of nature of the world and its being; the branch of ethics is related to how a person should behave in certain situations. There are other interesting branches of philosophy such as Aesthetics, Logic, the mind philosophy and the philosophy of language. Most subjects in academics have a philosophy, and only people who have researched deeply into the philosophy of their subject is given a degree of philosophy in that subject.
