Golf is a widely played sport in which players use different types of clubs, an instrument for playing golf, to hit golf balls and aim them to put into each hole of a golf course within the lowest number of strokes. It is not played in any standard playing area, as each golf course has its own design and generally consists of nine or eighteen holes.

The game of golf is played for the lowest number of strokes, which is known as the stroke play; or the lowest score on most holes during the complete round by a player and this is known as a match play. The rounds in a golf game depend upon the playing a certain number of holes in a particular order. The order is decided by the layout of the golf course, and in case, the course has nine holes, the players compete in two rounds.
