The centrally located geographic region of America is known as Central America. Being the southernmost part of the Northern America it continues to the southeastern part of the South American Continent. Spanning over an area of over five hundred thousand kilometers it comprise a population of over 405 million people with an average density of 77 per square kilometer.

It is a land of ethnic diversity with over 10 languages spoken, the major being Spanish, English, Garituna and many others. Tegucigalpa, Managua and Guatemala City are a few big cities of the Central America. With an exchange rate of 107.7 billion dollars and purchasing power capacity of 226.3 billion dollars it is surely a big continent with only seven countries contributing to its GDP.Central America takes in many species form Nearctic’s and Neotropic as it forms a connecting bridge between North America and South America. However the biodiversity differs with South as it is more diversified than the North.
