Web design is the science and art of designing web content that is viewed by the end user through the World Wide Web using an Internet connection. Web designing is done with the help of languages that can be viewed by specialized softwares like web browsers on the computer systems, or mobile browsers in a cellular phone and many more.

The web designing is a multi layered approach and includes creating content such as animation, plain text, interactive pages, graphic design, etc, keeping in mind the following factors: proper information structure or the database, information security, ease of use and search engine optimization. Basic web designing is don with the help of markup languages, while the site is made interactive with the help of scripting languages, which could be in the server side or the client side. It is used alongside database languages to store information from users. The design aspects of websites are taken care of by style sheet languages and the multimedia languages is responsible for animation and other motion contents.
