Systems security, in the field of computers is a discipline of information security and its objective is to protect information as well as the tangible objects of the computer system from unauthorized access, malicious activities, theft, or even a natural disaster. However, security must not come at the cost of normal access of the system by rightful owners.
The security structure of a system is the design of how the security controls are positioned in the system, and how they are associated with the architecture of the system. Security controls must provide the system with confidentiality, assurance, and integrity. The hardware based system security deals with setting up access restrictions on certain system devices and using devices like dongles for further security. Nowadays, security is an important aspect of all the softwares that are made everywhere. Operating systems come with enhanced security structure, authenticating every software and hardware entering the system, before it can access the system.
