Roleplaying is an ancient game, which has a few variations and has been modeled as a computer game too. It is a simple game where participants assume the roles of characters, which are mainly fictional. The actions of a particular character are predetermined and the success or failure of such actions depend on the general set of rules of the game. The participants of the game can customize the whole system according to them and have the freedom to improvise on their characters as long as they abide by the game’s guidelines.

While most of the conventional roleplaying games are based on the audio component on the basis of which participants display their actions. There is an entire genre of computer games that are based on roleplaying, and are known as role playing games (RPG). In such roleplaying computer games, participants are expected to complete certain tasks by playing the role of a character defined the game itself.
