Board game which in which the components of the game are moved, placed or removed on a surface having predefined boundaries is known as a board game. The surface on which the game is played is known as the board. Board games could cater to any subject, with its only restriction being the surface it is being played on.

Board games can range from simple and basic games with no meaning; to more difficult and complex games, with a definite subject and strategies are generally associated with such games. Simple board games are more inclined to the luck factor, and have little to think about, while the complicated board games are all about strategy, thoughtful moves and counter moves. While most board games have two players, there are certain games, which are complicated but yet is a single player game requiring high skill in strategizing and planning each and every step.
